Tell us what is wrong with the roof and roughly how big the house is. The introduction is free, the contractor who contacts you is the one who looks at the roof, and the scope and the price are theirs to write.
The request goes to a licensed roofing contractor whose crews cover the town you gave us - Bakersfield itself, or one of the surrounding Kern County towns we match across. If something in the request is unclear, we ask before passing it on rather than guessing.
The contractor then contacts you to arrange a look at the roof. That visit is where the scope is decided and the quote is written: repair or replacement, measured in squares, with the tear-off, the underlayment, the flashing, the ridge venting, the permit and the warranties itemised. There is no charge for the introduction, and nothing is booked until you agree to it.
None of it needs to be precise. "Single storey in Rosedale, asphalt shingles about 19 years old, two missing shingles after the last wind and a stain on the hallway ceiling" is more useful than a short "need a roof quote".
The form asks for a name, a phone number, an email address, the town and a description of the roof. What you send is what the contractor needs in order to contact you about the roof, and it goes to the contractor covering your area so the introduction can be made. It is not published on this site.
You are not signing up to a newsletter and you are not entering a contract by sending the form. If you want your details taken out of the request, say so and the introduction stops there.
There is no phone line attached to this site yet, so no number is published rather than a number that rings nowhere or a call centre in another state. The contact form is the working route, and the contractor who covers your area is the one who calls you.
Every page here says the same thing about who does what: this site matches, the contractor inspects and quotes, and the C-39 licence number on the quote is what you check at cslb.ca.gov before signing anything.
One or more, depending on your town and what the job involves. If the first introduction is not right, tell us and we will suggest another contractor who covers your area, at no charge.
No. It is a request for an introduction. The quote comes from the contractor after they have looked at the roof, and it is theirs to write - this site does not price jobs and cannot quote for your roof.
No. Nothing is booked until you agree, and you are free to get other quotes, check the licence number at cslb.ca.gov, ask for a certificate of insurance and compare itemised scopes before you decide anything.
